Black metal with the sound of Artem Mnatsakanyan playing his sadly weeping accordeon, only Russia seems to deliver bands with such an own unique sound. Путь never takes even the tiniest attempt to sound like the "polka rockers" of Finntroll (also a nice group) or the party poppers of Korpiklaani (yeach, sorry for the K-fans). Путь's music sounds much, much darker and deeper than their Finnish colleagues. Absolute perfection!

I love a concept album based on a great story, and stories don't get much better than Lord of the Rings. The incredible cover art sets the tone of the tale of Aragorn and his love for Arwen, while the atmospheric/epic black metal is contrasted beautifully by the ambient keys and chanting vocals. All that AND a guest spot from Beorn's Hall? Sign me up!
